The Income Tax Department, Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, West Bengal & Sikkim Region, has announced recruitment for 82 Tax Assistant (TA) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts under the Sports Quota for meritorious sportspersons. The recruitment includes 25 Tax Assistant and 57 Multi-Tasking Staff vacancies across 17 recognized sports disciplines. Candidates with a Graduation degree can apply for Tax Assistant, while 10th Pass candidates can apply for MTS, subject to fulfilling the prescribed sports eligibility requirements. Applications must be submitted offline to the Income Tax Department office in Kolkata, and the last date for receipt of applications is 30 September 2026.
